The Clinical Policy Analyst reports to the Project Manager and plays a vital role in providing clinical expertise, policy analysis, and support to the work of the OCMOH.
This position requires a motivated individual with sound judgement, superior organizational skills, political acumen, leadership, critical thinking, and strong written and verbal communication skills, who can work both independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Applying health protection, communicable disease and immunization related research, experience and knowledge to developing public health policies
- Researching, analyzing, and summarizing available evidence on existing and emerging public health issues from a variety of sources, including academic sources, grey literature, and social media
- Collaborate with other departments
- Develop reports, policy briefs and recommendations for leadership such as the Minister, Deputy Minister, and Chief Medical Officer of Health
- Respond to correspondence and requests from the public, other departments to the Minister, Deputy Minister, and Chief Medical Officer of Health
