Levert group is seeking experienced heavy equipment operators to work in a surface mining environment in the Northern Ontario area. We are currently looking for experienced Rock Truck Operators to work rotations of 7 / 7 and 14 / 14 with our client in the mining industry

This is a in camp position

What you need :

To qualify, candidates must have experience operating haul trucks in 100 to 350 tonnes the job setting is an open pit and the candidates must be Health & Safety oriented individuals, minimum class G2 driver's license.

The Haul Truck Operator will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of mining haul truck with a capacity of 100 to 350 tonnes. The following rigid frame models are used on site : Caterpillar 777, 795, 798AC

Responsibilities :

• Safely and effectively operate large capacity haul truck, taking into consideration weather and road conditions;
• Perform daily pre-start and post operational inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company guidelines;
• Monitor equipment operation including gauges, dials and other indicators on the haul trucks, reporting any issues to the Supervisor and / or Dispatcher;
• Communicate clearly and effectively using radio, hand signals and / or the WENCO system;
• Follow and comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures including those outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act;
• Follow defined practices to assure quality, safety and housekeeping standards;
• Promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System.
