Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems and accessories.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, and specifications to determine the design and layout of plumbing, water supply, and waste systems.
  • Locate and mark pipe connection points, passage holes, and fittings using measuring tools.
  • Cut and bore holes in walls and floors for pipes using hand and power tools.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and connect pipes using appropriate tools and machines.
  • Join pipes with couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding as per specifications.
  • Check for leaks with pressure gauges and testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and implement solutions.
  • Support the growth of company culture.
  • Work independently or in groups.
  • Mentor apprentices.
  • Experience with mechanical rooms or boiler work is a plus.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements :

  • Minimum two years of experience as a plumber.
  • Red Seal / Journeyman certification.
  • Knowledge of Federal / Provincial Building codes.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand and work for 10-12 hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and use proper lifting techniques for items over 25 kg.
