Job descriptionMinimum two years of experience as a plumber. Red Seal / Journeyman certification. Knowledge of Federal / Provincial Building codes. Ability to stand and work for 10-12 hours outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 lbs and use proper lifting techniques for items over 25 kg. Possess and maintain necessary tools and safety gear. Follow health, safety, and company policies. Adhere to project timelines and standards. Maintain an organized work area. Collaborate effectively with team members. Demonstrate motivation, energy, and proactive thinking. Follow instructions carefully. Competitive wages based on experience and skills. Four-day workweek. Duties and Responsibilities :
- Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems and accessories.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, and specifications to determine the design and layout of plumbing, water supply, and waste systems.
- Locate and mark pipe connection points, passage holes, and fittings using measuring tools.
- Cut and bore holes in walls and floors for pipes using hand and power tools.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, and connect pipes using appropriate tools and machines.
- Join pipes with couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding as per specifications.
- Check for leaks with pressure gauges and testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and implement solutions.
- Support the growth of company culture.
- Work independently or in groups.
- Mentor apprentices.
- Experience with mechanical rooms or boiler work is a plus.
- Perform other duties as required.
