Summary
The Plant Manager will manage the day-to-day business and operations of 3 material business units : Asphalt Plants in Acheson and Leduc; Soil Cement Plant in Edmonton; Ready-Mix Plant in Acheson. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is the liaison between customers, employees, and the company.
Role Purpose
The Plant Manager oversees the operations of manufacturing plants producing : Asphalt, Soil Cement, Concrete. Lead a team ensuring quality and safety standards, and coordinate with departments to meet production targets :
- optimizing efficiency
- maintaining equipment
- managing inventory
- pricing materials
- ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
Responsible for driving safety performance across Business Units by leading indicator safety metrics :
Collaborates with leadership and project teams to achieve HSE goals :
Plant Operations Management
To Support Continuous Production And Meet Business Objectives
Manage Daily Operations
Maintenance Management
To Ensure Optimal Equipment Performance And Facility Upkeep. Coordinate With Business Unit Superintendents To Plan And Execute Preventive, Predictive, And Proactive Maintenance For Plant Equipment

Regularly engage with the Sales team to explore bid opportunities and support the pursuit of new business within existing accounts and local markets. Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth delivery of products and services, while also preparing proposals, negotiating deals, and analyzing market trends for continuous improvement.
