Our Fraser Valley client is seeking a very special individual to join their team in the role of Financial Planning and Analysis Director.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will have overall accountability for preparing, developing and applying findings from financial reports. Responsibilities include gathering, interpreting and reporting information, alongside establishing effective communication channels to inform management on all aspects of company finance.

This newly created role will be an integral position within the finance department with the key function being to analyze financial information and implement effective strategies to enhance overall business performance.

This will appeal to someone who has strong partnering capability, enjoys building strong relationships across the functions of the business and can make common sense of the numbers to drive performance

Job Requirements :

Requirements and Skills :

• Proven experience as management accountant or similar role
• BSc / BA in accounting, finance or similar field
• Relevant certification (e.g. CPA) will be preferred
• Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
• Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
• Analytical mind with aptitude in math
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A problem-solver with attention to detail and accuracy
• Organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
