Realty Legal Liaison (Part Time)  for provincial government agency client, downtown Toronto.

Marberg Job Number : 2609.

Job Type : Temporary.

Initial Term :  July 2 2025 to November 28 2025.

Target Compensation : From $60 per hour to $68 per hour, according to experience.

Work Hours : PART TIME HOURS : 30 HOURS PER WEEK DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS, BETWEEN MONDAY TO FRIDAY. MONDAYS ARE ALWAYS AN ONSITE ANCHOR DAY

Work Location : Hybrid - combination of remote-based and onsite at client's downtown Toronto office, on PATH and near TTC station. Hybrid work schedule to be determined according to client business need. Onsite work expectations subject always to client business requirements, and may change.

Responsibilities Summary :

Support property acquisitions project teams with land administration support and legal documents research, review, analysis, processing and reporting services.

  • Collect and record property acquisition documentation.
  • Review and analyze land and real estate documents for proper completion and compliance with capital projects requirements.
  • Monitor database. Oversee, track and review outstanding documents, actions and requests, and escalate as needed to ensure deadlines and documents compliance requirements are met.
  • Create PowerPoint slide decks to assist with project tracking.
  • Additional property documents tracking, review and legal liaison responsibilities as required.

Qualifications :

Education : Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in legal administration, real estate / property management, land use, or similar discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Work Experience : At least 5+ years of experience in legal real estate, legal documents review, documentation management or similar discipline.

Preferred Sector Experience : Background or previous experience in land acquisition, urban planning, real estate or asset management preferred.

Technical and Language Skills Requirements :

  • Advanced proficiency in MSOffice including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with GIS systems and applications an asset.
  • Expert level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Task -Based Qualifications and Additional Attributes :

  • Demonstrated record of professional conduct and character. Responsible, reliable and works to deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and turn around large amounts of data quickly.
  • Proven ability to professionally handle confidential information and exercise good judgement in the interpretation and application of instructions and organization policy.
  • Superior attention to detail, and organized, methodical approach to completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, and in an advisory capacity, and liaise effectively with a wide and diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
  • Ability to work both remotely and onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
  • Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities.
  • Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
  • Satisfactory Background Checks, Technical Skills Evaluations, and Employment References.
