This is a field-based role available in all cities within Western Canada. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. We invite candidates from any location to apply.
Purpose :
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is the field-based advocate of JJIM Medical Sciences and are accountable for the execution of the Medical Sciences Plan. They are the scientific point of contact for key individuals (KIs) in a given territory and help address medical scientific and research needs.
You will be responsible for : - Maintaining up-to-date scientific expertise with regular attendance at key scientific / clinical / economic conferences training sessions and preceptorships to translate data into applicable knowledge and communication platform.
- Disseminating reviewing and presenting clinical and scientific data in a balanced unbiased manner to key opinion leaders and other HCPs in group and one-on-one settings.
- Building strong relationships with HCPs based on scientific credibility.
- Developing scientific communication materials (slide presentations) for dissemination to HCPs through contacts and meetings and provide congress support.
- Ensuring a regional scientific leadership strategy via credible and informed scientific dialogue with KIs.
- Leading / participating in medical and scientific forums (e.g. ad boards and medical education events) where KIs are involved.
- Supporting phase IIIB / IV local and global clinical development program
- Being a critical contributor to site identification patient enrollment and follow-up visits.
- Assisting in the interpretation of results post-hoc analyses and research collaboration with investigators
- Supporting investigator-initiated studies by fielding and assessing research requests aligning investigator interests with JJIMs research needs and engaging investigators to ensure the successful execution and satisfactory completion of studies.
- Analyzing data new and post hoc to develop insights and contribute to publications as appropriate.
- Providing expert clinical consultation and support to business partners (e.g. Access Medical Education Sales and Marketing etc. as appropriate).
- Partnering and collaborate with in-house business partners to facilitate ongoing exchange of clinical information.
- Providing regional medical perspective to influence the integrated Medical Affairs plan which complements the ILCP (Integrated Lifecycle) plans.
- Supporting the Medical Science publication plan.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 98000 to 157550 CAD.
