Job description
Administrative Assistant We are seeking a professional to support a team of Child Care Connect Licensing Officers and Supervisors within a government institution. This role involves performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to assist managers and employees in daily operations and administrative activities.
What is in it for you :
Hourly salary of $27.
4-month contract with a maximum extension term of 12 months.
Full-time position : 36.25 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 8 : 15 am to 4 : 30 pm.
On-site work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities :
Proofread and format Word documents.
Record and track information in Excel, including creating Pivot Tables.
Answer phone calls, respond to email inquiries, provide applicants and the public with appropriate documents, and refer callers to the appropriate areas.
Create documents and memos as required.
Enter data into tracking systems and computer systems.
Organize events and coordinate meetings through Microsoft Teams.
Copy, scan, file, and perform records management for both physical and digital documents.
Act as a point of contact for clients.
Take meeting minutes.
Register applicants for workshop sessions.
Issue receipts.
Transcribe voicemail messages into tracking systems.
Triage phone calls when the new phone system is implemented.
What you will need to succeed :
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ year of experience creating and using advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
1+ year of experience in a role demonstrating customer service skills with clients.
1+ year of relevant work experience with Microsoft Office.
Nice to Have :
Post-secondary education in office administration.
1 year of experience with Business Intelligence analytical tools such as Excel PowerPivot.
1 year of experience organizing business events and coordinating logistics.
1 year of experience with paper and electronic filing systems (ProLaw or similar).
1 year of experience with Records Management / Document Management Software.
1 year of relevant experience in a similar administrative role.
