Job description

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Agro Division Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overall leadership of the Hanna location with Westview Co-op. This position is responsible for all aspects of the operation, ensuring alignment with our Core Values and Corporate Pillars:

  • Lead the direction of Talent Management for Team Members in all areas including Performance Management, Talent Development, Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Orientation & Onboarding, and Succession Planning

  • Responsible for the overall safe, effective operations of their respective location.

  • Work closely with their Team Members to find ways to improve operational results with a strategic focus to ensure long term sustainability of the operation.

  • Understand, adhere to, execution of, as well as responsibility for Team Members in the respective operation, of Westview Co-op’s Policies and Procedures is required.

  • Assist in preparation and development of the annual budget. Administrative duties including claims, invoices and all other paperwork is done timely, accurately and meets agreed upon timelines.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Hanna Agro operations and financial results including sales, margins, expenses, inventory, and inventory turns. Review financial statements and provide coaching/guidance for Team Members to identify strengths and areas for improvements.

  • Work with respective Team Members to develop action plans and follow up as required. Administrative duties including claims, invoices and all other paperwork are done timely, accurately and meets agreed upon timelines.

  • Support and implement successful marketing campaigns.

  • Work closely with the other Agro locations, Operations and Marketing to execute strategies while looking for new ways to enhance business.

  • Identify external competitive pressures and provide feedback/recommendations to improve operations and competitive edge.

Who you are:

Previous experience (minimum 5 years) progressive and successful leadership roles preferably in the Ag Industry. Commitment to ongoing development in the industry and relevant designations/knowledge (agronomy, chemical, seed, crop production). CCA, Pag or equivalent experience preferred. We are looking for a positive, approachable, and motivated individual with a drive to learn. Candidates will demonstrate the following:
