Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager, Oncology Research at the Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), the incumbent will conduct data entry activities for clinical research studies.
General Duties
- Collect clinical data, as well as patient information
- Conduct and / or verify study document information
- Perform data entry as required by the protocol
- Respond to protocol queries
- Ensure compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory agency requirements
- Identify problems and / or inconsistencies and provide solutions
- Perform ongoing quality control review of documents
- Remit weekly updates to immediate supervisor on status of data entry for all studies
- Accomplish any other administrative tasks as required by the immediate superior or delegate
- Assist in quality control of patient charts in preparation for audits and inspections in collaboration with team members
- Track data submission status (e.g., in Excel, tracking log binders) to avoid missing / late data and maintain accountability
- Ensure protocol, source document, and SOP compliance by the internal study team
- Review all aspects of data collection and source documentation to ensure forms are completed and signed by the investigator before entering data into the case report form
