About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Foreman to be a team member in our Central Region. This position will report to the Central Regional Manager providing maintenance supervision to a growing region while leading the team to coordinate maintenance tasks performed on facilities and equipment in the area.

Paramount is currently constructing Phase II of our new gas processing plant near Rocky Mountain House, AB. The ideal candidate will play a key role in dry and wet commissioning, and start-up of the facility while ensuring all systems are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. After a successful startup of Phase I in July of 2025, we are forecasting Phase II to be onstream in Q3 of 2026. This region is expected to remain a key area with significant growth and development for years to come.

The successful candidate will reside within 70 kilometers of Leslieville, AB and will work a 9/80 schedule (Monday-Friday, with every second Friday off).

Job functions will involve:

  • Oversee the maintenance and integrity of oil/gas facilities and associated gathering systems.
  • Ability to manage facilities while ensuring high reliability and integrity of infrastructure.Provide direct day to day supervision of personnel to ensure that business requirements including meeting maintenance KPIs and environmental, health & safety objectives/standards are met.
  • Coordinate and oversee turnaround work at small and larger facilities in the area.
  • Consult with all Regional team members as necessary, using independent judgment to determine courses of action.
  • Provide leadership and assist with career development of personnel.
  • Develop and manage maintenance-based contracts.
  • Provide input to Regional budget and manage the maintenance budget process.
  • Ensure business/administrative requirements are met with respect to agreement terms and legislative requirements.
  • Communicate with the team daily to ensure business requirements are met to support maintenance operations.
  • Promote adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assertive in problem solving and decision making with respect to people, schedules, materials and other general coordination items.
  • Ability to keep safety in mind at all times, as well as guide or assist operations staff with identifying and mitigating hazards in order to ensure that projects or day to day operations are being carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Foreman preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years oil and gas field operations experience.
  • Full working knowledge of sweet/sour gas plant operations, gas/oil gathering systems, oil production facilities and equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Journeyman certified craftsmen or possess a technical post-secondary diploma related to the oil & gas industry (or equivalent) would be an asset.
  • Experience with a maintenance platform such as Maximo or SAP PM module would be an asset.
  • Solid understanding of integrity programs.
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to learn, adhere and work with all Paramount based software programs and processes.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision, time management and organizational effectiveness are critical to this position.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and a sense of teamwork.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, as well as valid H2S and First Aid certifications.
