With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Role Description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Resilience team in Atlantic Canada. We offer flexible hybrid positions that include occasional travel for project‑related meetings. As part of our Environmental Restoration (ER) division, you will collaborate with a Region Manager and a dedicated team focused on professional growth and career advancement.

Role Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering environmental projects of various sizes and complexities. Your key tasks include defining and overseeing project scope, schedules, and budgets, and identifying and mitigating project risks. You will provide technical guidance, prepare reports, and conduct senior reviews. You will adhere to corporate policies and procedures to maintain quality, health, safety, and performance management systems. Mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative environment will be part of your responsibilities. You will handle technical tasks and field programs for contaminated site investigations, feasibility studies, remediation design, hydrogeological assessments, and monitoring programs. Your expertise will support technical guidance across sectors such as oil and gas, mining, power, infrastructure, brownfields, and government projects. You will ensure project objectives—scope, schedule, and cost—are clearly defined and met. Additional responsibilities include preparing and reviewing reports, work plans, specifications, and proposals, as well as managing technical budgets. You will oversee the work of intermediate and junior staff to ensure regulatory compliance and technical accuracy.

Key Attributes / Requirements

  • Expertise in environmental compliance and knowledge of provincial and federal guidelines. Experience in managing contaminated sites across sectors such as industrial facilities, refineries, military properties, commercial plants, government properties, and renewable energy sites like wind and solar farms. Previous engagement with industrial, development, and governmental clients is advantageous.
  • Proven leadership in designing and executing field programs, with strong data analysis and report‑writing skills. Experience in quality control and assurance processes, and effectively presenting results to clients. Familiarity with responding to Requests for Proposals, Expressions of Interest, and Statements of Qualifications is advantageous. Strong communication and collaboration skills are crucial for planning and decision‑making.
  • Flexibility to travel for site visits and meetings as needed.
  • Experience in sectors like oil and gas, mining, power, and government, managing projects at sites such as industrial facilities and renewable energy installations.
  • Ability to deliver comprehensive project proposals and reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 12 years of direct experience with managing Contaminated Sites and Site Remediation. Experience in Engineering, Geoscience, and Technology with a focus on Site Investigations, Remediation, Risk Management, and Environmental Monitoring.
  • Individuals with Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) designation.
  • Experience with FCSAP, PFAS.
  • Why Arcadis?

It’s why we are pioneering a skills‑based approach, where you can harness your unique experience and expertise to carve your career path and maximize the impact we can make together. You’ll do meaningful work, and no matter what role, you’ll be helping to deliver sustainable solutions for a more prosperous planet. Make your mark on your career, your colleagues, your clients, your life, and the world around you. Together, we can create a lasting legacy. Join Arcadis. Create a Legacy.
