presents an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team!
Location : Summerland, BC
Status : 16 hour / week, flexible hours available
Pay range : $55 - $65 / hour
In this role you will :
- Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments
- Identify appropriate equipment needs and initiate recommendations
- Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications / funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies, and other funding parties
- Provide informal education on seating, positioning, activities of daily living, wheelchairs, and adaptive aids, as well as ongoing education to clients and families to improve function, independence, and safety
- Evaluate ongoing use of restraints, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention strategies
- Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart following guidelines established by the College of Occupational Therapists
