You will serve as the backbone of the manufacturing process, offering guidance and coaching to team members to foster success, maintain peak operational efficiency, and drive production metrics forward.

This Plant Supervisor role is designed for a self-directed professional who can confidently manage inventory, oversee site safety surveillance, and participate in capital improvement projects alongside the Plant Manager.

• 3 weeks of paid vacation to support your personal downtime and well-being.
• Favorable RRSP & DPSP programs featuring employer matching to help you build a secure financial future.

Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish production objectives for Safety, Quality, Production, and Maintenance for all employees.
• Supervise daily production activities to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Monitor shift performance rigorously against established safety, quality, and production standards.
• Input production data accurately into the system to measure and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding efficiencies, downtime, and inventory.
• Lead daily employee start-up meetings to set expectations and communicate vital operational updates.
• Collaborate with team members to control efficiencies, minimize labor overtime, reduce downtime, and lower repair expenses by implementing cost-effective systems.
• Promote shop floor organization and plant housekeeping through active employee participation and Lean techniques (5S, Kaizen, 7 wastes, TPM).
• Train new employees across all areas of the production floor to ensure operational readiness.
• Manage the inventory of PPE and MRO items to ensure the plant remains fully stocked and safe.

Qualifications

• Exceptional coaching and relationship-building capabilities to effectively lead and motivate a team of 15-20 staff.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving expertise to quickly overcome daily production challenges and bottlenecks.
• Proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to balance plant floor supervision (80%) and office administration (20%).
