Job description
Our family is seeking a responsible, caring, and experienced nanny on a casual basis for our 9 month old daughter. You must have experience working with infants. We would be looking for you to come into our home (Lakeview area) to care for our daughter during weekdays/ the occasional evening (likely just during the week). The duration would vary but likely 3-4h per shift. We are mainly looking for coverage if we have errands to run/ appointments/ want the occasional date night. We would love for you to be a consistent and positive role model for our daughter! This opportunity does have potential to turn into something more permanent for when I go back to work after my mat-leave is over. Hourly rate will be discussed and agreed on prior to starting, as well as how you'd like to be paid (after each shift/weekly/biweekly, etc). You will be responsible for providing attentive care to our child to support her growth and development. We strongly believe in and use a gentle parenting approach, so your approach with our daughter would need to align with that. We would expect you to engage in age-appropriate activities with our daughter and provide her with some fresh air if weather permits. Your duties will include engaging in educational and recreational activities, and maintaining a safe and tidy environment for our daughter. If you are here during meal time, we will have food prepared but expect that you will feed her. If you are here when she has a nap, you would put her down for her nap and be responsive to our daughter when she cries/wakes up, as we do not use a "cry out" method. You must be an animal lover, as we have a 5 year old Golden Retriever who will likely want to be near you when you're here. You would be responsible for letting him in and out of the house as needed.
