Your Opportunity
As a key contributor in our Architecture and Engineering practice for Northern Canada, you will work collaboratively and independently to assist clients in designing fiscally responsible, award-winning projects. You should be familiar with construction plans, specifications, estimates, and building codes. Your focus will be on sustainable design with green architecture principles, leading development of design proposals, updating building information models, and preparing project drawings. You will also mentor team members and collaborate to deliver final outputs.
Preferred locations include Yellowknife, Whitehorse, or Iqaluit, with relocation assistance available. Candidates from other Canadian cities willing to travel to the north will also be considered.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Managing complex projects and tasks
- Participating in and helping to secure new work
- Planning and directing project work to ensure successful delivery
- Keeping stakeholders informed of progress and respecting decision boundaries
- Negotiating and developing project agreements
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and work plans
- Mentoring project team members
- Leading project meetings and managing contractual changes
- Conducting peer reviews of deliverables
- Determining staffing needs and reviewing construction progress
- Traveling to conduct assessments or site reviews
- Managing client invoicing and collections
