Glenmore Christian Academy (GCA) is a private Alberta accredited Christian school located in the Southwest of Calgary, Alberta, specializing in the education of children in grades K-9. GCA is a member of AISCA (Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta) as well as ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). GCA has an opportunity for a maternity leave, 1.0 FTE Elementary Music Teacher . Under the direction and mentorship of the Elementary Principal, this individual will teach grades K to Grade. This position is a term contract starting in early 2025 (January or February) to June 27, 2025 with the potential of extending the contract for the 2025 / 2026 school year. Alberta Permanent or Interim Certificate? Alberta Letter of Authority Skills ? Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, digital delivery and field trips? Design effective strategies to meet the childrens diverse learning needs? Effective communication skills? Ability to handle confidential information? Fluent in English and conversational proficiency in French? Excellent English written and oral communication skills? Proven attention to detail, organizational and documenting / tracking skills, as well as analytical problem-solving abilities Preferred Experience?
