Staff Accountant
Reports To: Director of Finance
Location: Redmond, Oregon
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position is responsible for day-to-day accounting functions—including A/P, A/R, inventory, accruals, and month-end close—to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The role supports internal controls and audit compliance while providing ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis. This is an individual contributor role with no supervisory duties.
Role and Responsibilities
Conduct daily activities including all A/P and A/R processing, account reviews, and discrepancy resolution to ensure all transactions are documented and accurate.
Maintain and update monthly accrual and prepaid schedules; post related journal entries to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct reporting periods.
Reconcile inventory accounts and validate costing in coordination with operational departments to ensure accurate valuation.
Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare schedules and documentation for internal/external audits and ensure ongoing adherence to standard accounting policies.
Prepare monthly financial review presentations, sales forecasting, and support the annual budgeting process.
Partner with internal operations and customer service teams to validate data, resolve accounting issues, and maintain process alignment.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
3+ years of experience in general accounting, business analytics, or consulting.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office; operational knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Experience in a physical goods or production-based environment is preferred; general understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.
Self-starter capable of working independently on multiple projects; strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a team environment.
Compensation: $70,000
