Are you interested in working with a collaborative, energetic team, with an all-hands-on deck mentality? Would you prefer the stability of a salaried role?
Ourboro is looking for a mortgage agent who wants to help clients who are asking for their help. No cold calling, no chasing leads, and no building of a sales funnel. Instead, you can focus 100% of your time educating homebuyers on our unique product while underwriting their deals.
The Company
Launched in 2022, Ourboro offers a completely new way to buy and own homes. We do this by solving the #1 barrier to home ownership - the down payment. We invest up to $250K in our customers’ homes. It’s not a loan, so there is no interest and no additional debt. Instead, as a partner, we buy a share of the future value of the home.
Once our customers move in, we offer programs and services to help preserve and increase the home’s value. When it’s time to sell, we participate in our fair share of the gains or losses. To date, we've invested in over $125M of real estate alongside homebuyers.
Too many people are being priced out of the housing market because home ownership is currently all or nothing. We are here to provide an alternative. Not everyone has access to the bank of Mom and Dad, and we want to be there for those who could use the extra backup, every step of the way.
The Role
Delivering a personable, human experience is going to be at the core of your work. Reporting into our Homebuyer Relationship Manager, you’ll support our clients through their entire buying journey – from the moment they apply to the day they move into their new home. You will be their primary point of contact and serve as the personal voice of the organization to our customers.
You will be responsible for tracking applicants, collecting their information, advising them on their mortgage options and submitting their mortgage application on their behalf.
This is a rare opportunity to come in early, build something from the ground up and work directly with seasoned entrepreneurs who will support you. You will be the first licensed mortgage agent on our team.
Responsibilities :
- Manage pipeline of buyers to ensure service standards and financial goals are met
- Foster relationships with clients and assist them in making an informed decision
- Oversee the entire mortgage process (both purchase and refinancing) for each client, from initial contact to completion, including application, document collection, lender submission, condition fulfillment, and closing activities
- Complete and assess mortgage applications, perform credit checks, searches, and other related underwriting requirements
- Ensure mortgage applications meet compliance requirements and adhere to lender policies and guidelines
- Correspond with clients' lawyers and appraisers to ensure efficient workflow to coincide with closing dates
- Collaborate and build on our current relationships with lenders
