Title : Equipment Coordinator
Location : Lachine industrial park
Salary : $23 per hour
Duration : long term contract
Schedule : Monday to Friday 4 am – 12 : 30 pm
We are seeking a Bilingual Equipment Coordinator to join our team for early morning shifts at our Lachine location, working for a leading national transportation company. In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous tracking of trailer movements and locations within the terminal, ensuring all arrivals, departures, and in / out movements are accurately recorded. You will regularly update the status of trailers in the system, conduct routine inspections to check for damage or maintenance needs, and promptly update the system with any maintenance requests or issues.

- Continuously track the movement and location of trailers within the terminal (in / out, arrival, departure)
- Regularly update the trailer's status in the system
- Conduct routine checks on trailers for damage or maintenance needs. Update system with any maintenance requests or issues found.
- Monitor and record how often each trailer is used, how long it remains idle, and the frequency of maintenance or downtime.
- Communicate with logistics, maintenance, and loading / unloading teams regarding trailer status, availability, and any special needs (e.g., specific trailer requirements for a shipment).
- Administrative data management tasks
- Other duties relevant to the role
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or administration position
- Bilingual French & English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer skills – MS products, Truck Mate and web-based programs and to ability to learn new software's with ease
- Demonstrated customer relationship skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills and to ability to work in fast paced environments
- Previous Transportation or operational experience is preferred, various roles within transportation would be beneficial
- Able to work deadlines in high transactional environment
- Results focused
