Job description

Position Details: Casual Call-In, Existing Vacancy (2 positions)
Hourly Rate: Starting rate at $17.80/ for this position will be commensurate with each individual's education and/or experience as it relates to the position.
Location: Oak Hammock Marsh near Stonewall, MB
Closing Deadline: May 10, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)

What You Will Do

  • Arming and disarming of the building.
  • Building inspection (mechanical systems, washrooms, room set-ups)
  • Extinguisher inspections
  • Emergency eye wash station inspections
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance such as fire pump, generator and emergency lighting testing
  • Conduct seasonal maintenance such as snow clearing, grass cutting, trail maintenance, etc

Requirements

  • Involves physical work, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment (e.g. large and small frame tractors, power tools and snow blowers)
  • Must be willing to work some weekends and have flexibility with the hours of work.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in teams as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have own transportation to get to Oak Hammock Marsh
  • Some relevant experience would be an asset
