Located in Toronto, Ontario, RCS serves adolescents, young adults, adults, and families impacted by substance use and addictive behaviors.At RCS, we believe addiction affects the entire family—not just the individual. Through our family-centered approach, we provide all members of the family with the support and tools they need to navigate the recovery journey. Our team is passionate about fostering lasting change and empowering clients to lead fulfilling lives.Work ExperienceWe are seeking a Masters-Level Social Worker (Qualifying or Registered) or a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying or Registered) with a specialization and experience in addiction counselling. The ideal candidate will bring both professional expertise and a commitment to supporting individuals and families through recovery.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate intake and assessment processes, ensuring timely and professional client engagement.Provide individual counselling for addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns.Conduct initial phone intakes within 24 hours of client inquiries, including potential crisis management.Perform comprehensive client assessments to inform treatment plans.Collaborate with family members during feedback sessions or family therapy, aligning with RCS’s family-centered approach.Engage in case management, coordinating with community partners such as treatment centers, educational consultants, residential care providers, and other professionals involved in client care.Attend bi-weekly team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Social Work (MSW) with registration as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with CRPO.Specialized education, training, or certification in addictions.Valid Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening (completed within the past two years).Professional liability insurance.Preferred Qualifications (Assets)Personal lived experience with addiction and recovery.Familiarity with Canadian addiction and mental health resources.A commitment to continuous professional development, particularly in substance use disorders.Knowledge of or exposure to 12-step recovery programs.Why Join RCS?Opportunity to work within an established, client-focused private practice.Collaborative, team-oriented environment with bi-weekly team meetings with experienced certified professionals.Clinical supervision with a Registered Psychologist.Meaningful work with individuals and families striving for recovery and wellness.Professional development opportunities to deepen expertise in addiction counselling.Workspace available for in person therapy, hybrid model accepted.
