Job descriptionMaintain a clean safe environment for residents and staff. Adhere to infection control practices including proper hand hygiene. Perform security patrols and respond to safety concerns. Utilize mechanical aids for transferring and transporting residents. Complete shiftspecific tasks and delegated duties. Use effective communication with residents families and staff ensuring confidentiality. Participate in meetings committees and emergency management. Collaborate with activities staff to support recreational programs. Encourage resident independence and maintain a hygienic environment. Completion of Grade 10 and Health Care Aide certification or equivalent. Registration with BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry. Preferred experience in the role or related volunteer / practicum work. WHMIS and Food Safe certifications. Physical fitness to fulfill job demands including lifting transferring and manual tasks. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a health care team. Clear communication skills in English. Compassion dependability and selfdiscipline. Physical and mental adaptability to handle conflicting priorities and demanding situations. Experience or training in dementia care or endoflife care is an asset. Frequent standing reaching walking and lifting. Lifting objects up to 20kg occasionally and up to 10kg frequently. Fine and gross motor tasks with significant handeye coordination. Must available for Evening / Night shifts

Job Title : Health Care Aide (HCA)

Position Summary
The Health Care Aide (HCA) provides frontline nursing care and support to residents as part of an interdisciplinary team. Under the guidance of the Care Manager or designated team leader the HCA aims to deliver excellence in care and exemplifies a culture of safety for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care :
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing dressing personal hygiene).
- Provide safe care in collaboration with team members (e.g. twoperson transfers responsive behaviors).
- Support residents during meals including serving clearing and feeding assistance.
- Respond to call bells monitor health changes and report / document as needed.
