We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Training Coordinator in Toronto, Ontario. This role is within the non-profit industry, specializing in residential, crisis, and day services for adults with disabilities and mental health issues. The Training Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the supervisory team and training direct support professionals across various support living locations.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement training programs for direct support professionals
- Provide instruction on the appropriate protocol and proper documentation with clients
- Train staff on the use of PCC
- Conduct ongoing training assessments with the team
- Utilize e-Learning modules to enhance staff training and development
- Promote effective communication and customer service within the team
- Leverage knowledge of developmental, intellectual, and learning disabilities in training programs
- Apply understanding of senior housing and nursing in the training context
- Ensure all staff are equipped with necessary training and development skills
- Proven experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
- Proficiency in designing and implementing e-Learning Modules
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability in providing excellent customer service
- Knowledge and understanding of developmental, learning, and intellectual disabilities
- Experience or familiarity with senior housing and nursing environments
- Proven track record in creating and executing successful employee training programs
- Ability to design and manage comprehensive training and development plans
- Proficiency in various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs, e-learning, workshops, and simulations
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
