Medical Legal Coordinator   – Full time

Location : North York, ON

The  Medical Legal Coordinator  will service medical legal requests for Viewpoint. We are seeking a customer service focused, courteous, reliable, and well-organized team player. You have excellent time management skills and strong computer skills, including an intermediate level of skill using Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Pro and the internet. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills complimented by a strong command of the English language. Knowledge of medical and legal terminology is an asset.

Your responsibilities include :

  • Corresponding with legal firms and other stakeholders regarding legal proceedings and documentation requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Scheduling court attendance for internal assessors
  • Processing invoices for medical legal services
  • Gathering, preparing and finalizing of file materials as requested by legal counsel
  • Maintaining highest level of privacy when dealing with individual’s personal and personal health information
  • Coordination of referrals including scheduling and communicating with assessors and referral source

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • 3 years’ experience working in client service or administrative position, ideally in a legal or health care environment
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with any issues that may arise
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under pressure
  • Proficient computer literacy in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Excel, Microsoft Office and Outlook and Internet
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation is an asset
