Role Description
The Quality Control (QC) Technician will be responsible for chemical and physical analysis of incoming seed, intermediates as required, and finished goods on a daily basis. The QC technician will verify that results are within specification, and take corrective action and / or notify their supervisor in case of any deviation.
Essential Job Functions Summary
- Perform analysis of incoming seed samples
- Verify finished product samples against production reports to ensure the lab has received samples for all skids produced
- Create composite samples where required
- Perform chemical (including moisture, protein, fixed oil, volatile oil) and physical testing (grading) on samples, send samples to outside labs for testing that cannot be performed in-house
- Activities relating to Canadian Grain Sampling Program
- Report out of spec results to supervisor
- Send results of all analysis for product release
- Perform housekeeping duties as required
Qualifications
