Job descriptionUnderstanding of education environments including needs of adult learners Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled Motivation, dedication and enthusiasm for teaching Good Organization and Communication Skills A minimum of four years’ of related practical work experience in the field of Medical Assisting (Front and Back Office) Associate’s Degree Required in a related subject area, Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject area is preferred CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and CMA preferred BLS instructor certified preferred (training / certification provided) Adjunct faculty hours are determined by the scheduled courses in a particular module. Adjunct faculty are scheduled as needed with no guarantee of hours at any time and scheduled hours are generally under 25 per week. The Medical Assistant / Medical Administrative Specialist (MA / MAS) Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction to students that meet the program and course objectives. The MA / MAS Instructor should maintain an organized, disciplined classroom environment that is conducive to learning and imparts the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to existing students.
