Job description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee building, grounds, guest areas, amenities, parking, and staff housing at a hospitality property. You’ll lead the maintenance team, coordinate daily work, manage preventative maintenance, and ensure the property remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

Location: Jasper, AB

Pay: $60,000-$72,000/year

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and supervise the Maintenance team
  • Schedule and assign daily maintenance activities
  • Manage work orders, preventative maintenance, inspections, and records
  • Oversee building systems, equipment, vehicles, and staff housing
  • Manage parts, tools, supplies, and external contractors
  • Support renovations, capital projects, and seasonal property openings/closings
  • Conduct property inspections and address safety or maintenance concerns
  • Ensure compliance with safety, building, health, sanitation, and pool regulations
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent maintenance issues

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance or facilities management experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with scheduling, documentation, work orders, and basic computer systems
  • Able to read blueprints and technical documents and safely use tools
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to safety and quality
  • Flexible to work varied shifts and participate in on-call rotation
  • Valid Alberta driver's licence; Class 4 is an asset
  • Commercial kitchen or pool maintenance experience is an asset
