Our client, a major player in infrastructure construction and a partner on the Surrey Langley SkyTrain project, is seeking a Cost Control Manager to join their team in Surrey, BC. The ideal candidate will bring 7–10 years of cost control experience on large infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of project controls systems, forecasting, earned value analysis, and change management. Lead project cost control processes, including setup of cost codes, job cost tracking, forecasting, and earned value reporting. Provide timely and accurate reporting on cost performance, identifying risks and recommending proactive solutions. Oversee development and implementation of detailed cost and progress tracking tools across multiple disciplines. Support change management processes, including subcontractor claims, change orders, and impact analysis. Assist with contract administration, payments, and compliance with invoicing and reporting requirements. Collaborate closely with project managers, operations, and finance to align cost tracking with project delivery. Mentor and manage a team of project controls personnel, creating a supportive and results-driven environment. Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost control on major infrastructure or transportation projects. Strong knowledge of project management and cost control principles, including earned value management (EVM). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Hard Dollar / InEight and SAP ERP systems is an asset. Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present insights to leadership. Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP, AACEI, or CIQS certification is an asset.
