  • Present research, analysis, forecasting, project and new program updates to the Manager, COO, EFC Board of Directors, and EFC Executive Committee, when needed.
  • Supervision and Training

  • Ensure quality control of the Market Intelligence unit's regular reports and presentations.
  • Monitor information flow from the Market Intelligence unit to ensure communication, level of confidentiality, and tone are consistent with EFC. Work with the Market Intelligence Analysts to correct any issues in this area.
  • Train new unit staff in terms of the unit`s business objectives.
  • Document standard procedures and contribute to continual process improvement
  • Assume full responsibility of the unit's regular tasks and ad-hoc requests when the Manager is away.
  • Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient statistical and mathematical skills including methodologies and techniques (e.g. advanced regression analysis, ARIMA models, Monte Carlo simulations, etc.) and the ability to prepare estimates and forecasts using econometric models and machine learning techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to apply logical and evaluative thinking to problem identification and resolution
  • Proven ability to work both independently as well as to collaborate with team members across functions and at all levels through an open, engaging, and collaborative approach
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative and be results-oriented
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to produce effective written documents and make effective, well-structured presentations tailor-made to the intended audience.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Education and Experience :

  • 3-5 year's forecasting experience in a similar Economist role or as an Economic Analyst
  • Master's degree in economics or statistics with a concentration in statistical / quantitative methods, and mathematical modeling.
