We are recruiting for a Welding / Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to join our Cambridge, ON team!
The Welding / Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor will lead a team of Welding Engineers and Technical Specialists. Responsible to prepare and maintain shop documentation (PQR, WPS) conforming to Quality system and customer specification requirements and assess and resolve non-conforming conditions that affect the product. Support shop including facilities and equipment maintenance, upgrade or installation. Design tooling as required to support shop activities and safe work. Estimate, purchase and track welding consumables on a project basis. Focus on welding processes, welder training and welding equipment.
Accountabilities
The Welding Engineering Manager will support and direct the Welding Engineering team with their tasks including :
Shop Documentation
- Prepare welding Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) and Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), identify shop resources and fixtures / jigs / tooling required for the scope of work, as well as provide material allocation and identification of applicable shop operating procedures and quality assurance standards.

As the department Manager, it is expected that you will take leadership of the largest and most complex projects with limited manager oversight. You will be required to interface with upper management and customers regularly. You will be asked to coach and review work of your personnel. You will interface with the shop and provide training on various processes as required. You will develop new processes from scratch. You will be the ASME Code expert in all things welding.

Desired Characteristics :
The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[107,000]] and $[[156,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and / or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
