SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Eastern Canada, the Regional Manager is responsible for the Blainville and St-Augustin branch profitability and sets the strategic direction for the branches. The position focuses on managing internal business processes to support all functions within the branch. The Regional Manager’s responsibilities are categorized into four areas : financial, sales, operations, and people management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial
- Under the guidance of the Director, accountable for the profit / loss of the branch.
- With the Director, prepares the annual branches operating budgets (sales and expenses) and regularly monitors actual levels against budget.
- Work with the Director to ensure the achievement of financial targets.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic plans for the branch that ensure the attainment of branch goals and annual targets.
- Plan and establish systems to control expenses at the branch locations.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
Sales
Develop and coach the Inside Sales Supervisor, Sales Manager, and Commodity Traders to meet or exceed sales goals by defining strategies, promoting national programs, offering excellent customer service, achieving accuracy with orders, and increasing the dollar value of orders.Operations / Administration / Safety
Warehouse Operations
Provide strategic direction to achieve and maintain an efficient and safe warehouse, while meeting customer service levels and achieving inventory integrity in collaboration with National Services.
On an ongoing basis, work with two Operation Supervisors on procedures to achieve and maintain customer service order levels and maintain a positive work environment.Ensure processes are in place to review invoices, work orders, and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to staff appropriately.Ensure compliance with CNESST regulations and meeting Doman safety guidelines.Ensure ongoing benchmarking with other Doman branches to share best practices.Purchasing and Administration
Collaborate with the Administration Manager to ensure proper workflow and compliance with established processes and policies.Facilities Management
Responsible for upkeep and security of buildings and warehouses.People Management
With ten direct reports performing the day-to-day functions, the Regional Manager is indirectly responsible for approximately 55 employees.

Experience
A track record of success as an accomplished manager with profit / loss responsibility of a small to mid-sized businessSenior management experience in wholesale distribution is requiredMinimum of three years experience managing, leading, and coaching an outside business-to-business sales teamLeadership
