Key Responsibilities
- Performs repairs in accordance with Company Safety and OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements
- Perform welding responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PM); diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment / components
- Plan and achieve maintenance goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain files such as : equipment lists, suppliers list, operating, maintenance manuals, purchase orders, drawings, checklists, spare parts lists, corrective maintenance details, maintenance history
- Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and advises leadership if additional work is needed or cannot be completed within the standard repair times
- Provide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts. This includes evaluating and determining the course of action for maintenance incidents after hours and on weekends while on call and may require on-site supervision of the resolution to maintain operational efficiency.
- Inspects the quality of third-party repairs and / or rebuilds
- Supervises third‑party contractors and ensures their compliance with company rules and regulations.
- Recommends measures to improve production, equipment performance and product quality
- Work closely with production and other departments in developing the work schedules including the coordination of all maintenance activities for efficient flow of operations.
- Safely operates tools and equipment needed during the repair and servicing of equipment. Diagnose defects and repair a variety of equipment
- Estimate time and materials required to perform major repairs
- Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Wear all mandatory personal protective equipment as assigned.
- Follow all safety procedures.
