Job descriptionBlueprint reading and interpretation. Toolmaking and machining experience. Proficiency in CNC mill and lathe operations. Experience with Mastercam, manual G code, M code, SolidWorks, Edgecam, AutoCAD. Licensed machinist and / or tool and die maker (429A or 430A). 5+ years of experience in a custom or precision machining shop. Experience with Okuma, Siemens, or Heidenheim controls. Programming experience is considered an asset. Knowledge of SolidWorks, Mastercam, Edgecam, and AutoCAD.

Job Description
Responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to perform various tasks such as drilling, milling, and turning. This role requires a combination of technical skills, precision, and problem-solving abilities to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience in precision machining, and is skilled at interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. You will be using measuring tools and instruments such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, and height gauges. You will be working on 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling machines and lathes.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines for drilling, milling, and turning.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and calipers.
- Work on 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling machines and lathes.

Work Environment
You will have the opportnity to work in a custom machine shop offering a full range of machining services, including CNC machining, precision grinding, manual turning, and milling, plus a full inspection facility.
Two shifts are available : afternoons from Monday to Thursday, 3 : 00 pm to 1 : 30 am, and days from Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 am to 3 : 15 pm..
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $79040.00 - $87360.00 / yr.
