Our Halifax branch, Nova Scotia is looking for a new Sea Logistics Reefer Manager to join our Sea Logistics team.
Your Role
You are responsible for overall end-to-end operational activities on a local level and actively seek for improvements of customer service standards and optimizing the customer service experience. Also, you will manage onboarding of new customers. The goal is Customer growth, satisfaction and retention.
Your Responsibilities
- You will manage Sea freight Perishables Department team size of 4
- You will oversee Import & Export operations activities also including hiring, training and development
- Actively promote and improve employee retention Market / Customers
- Identify potential customers and also monitor market activity and responding to pricing fluctuations
- Develop new business opportunities with the aim of increasing overall market share and revenue growth for Sea freight Perishables
- Develop an understanding of the customers business and create appropriate value propositions
- Communicate proactively with the customers, respond to their needs, ensure commitments are met, address their concerns resolve issues on a timely basis
- Manage the Sea freight Perishable financial performance and P&L
- Maximize gross profit, ensure a satisfactory conversion ratio, achieve set targets
- Identify cost savings, improve processes, implement efficiency gains and measure and report on the key indicators
- Adhere to and complies with all health & safety, quality, security, environmental, legal and regulatory requirements
