Your Opportunity:
Lacombe Continuing Care Facility is a 73 bed unit, including some Medically Complex Care beds, that provides personal care to residents under the direction of a registered nurse in accordance with established care plans, and provides encouragement, emotional support, and will ensure the dignity of the resident is maintained at all times. Please note: Resumes are not kept on file. All Acute Care, Continuing Care, Mental Health, Community Care and Public Health applications require a cover letter and current resume outlining experience and abilities relevant to the position. A cover letter and resume are essential to determine candidates selected for the position.
Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.
Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous Long Term Care experience preferred. CCHSS training an asset. ROL and Role-Based training an asset.
