Summary :
If you are passion for corporate law or privacy law, we invite you to join a growing, dynamic and innovative team. You will work with our legal department and support the Head of Legal and Privacy and Legal Counsel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keenness to learn and grow with a fast-paced, growing organization as well as take the initiative to implement continuous process improvements.
You must be eligible to work in Canada. The work location for this role is eligible for hybrid remote or in-person within Canada.
What you will be doing :
- Assist the legal team with corporate and commercial work, including numerous corporate acquisitions.
- Assist the privacy officer in responding to privacy requests or potential privacy breaches.
- Due diligence review of corporate records and preparation of rectification resolutions, conduct and review public searches in connection with due diligence matters.
- Manage drafting of all required closing documents and coordination of all closings.
- Conduct research and analysis on legal, contractual and privacy matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Review, draft and amend commercial lease documents.
- Maintain our corporate documents, contracts, minute books along with all ongoing corporate governance filings and related matters.
- Maintain an efficient electronic filing system.
- Respond to internal legal inquiries from WELL’s numerous business units and independently manage them.
- Perform administrative and related duties as assigned and assist others in the department as required.
- Interest in capital markets, corporate / commercial, privacy, SaaS, health law, IP and administrative law.
