Develop, participate and teach courses on food engineering - food bioprocess engineering at the level of the three training cycles. As part of their academic activities, the incumbent will be required to develop an original research program focusing on the development of a detailed understanding in food engineering - food bioprocess engineering. Supervise (supervise and co-supervise) Masters and Ph.D. students. Participate in the supervision of undergraduate students. Contribute to the promotion of research activities in the field of food engineering - food bioprocess engineering. Participate in the life of Université Laval.Selection criterias The selected person must hold a Ph.D. (doctorate or its equivalent) in the field of food engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering, bioprocess engineering, bioresource engineering or in a related field with the requirement to hold an undergraduate degree in engineering.Being a member (ing.) of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or an Order of engineering of Canada or eligible to become a member, and in this case to demonstrate it and to commit to becoming a member in good standing within three years of hiring.Candidates who fit the description and meet the qualifications of the position will be selected based on the following criterias : Publications file with a desirable minimum of three relevant articles published over the last five years in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Relevant work experience (research, teaching) in the field of food engineering, food bioprocess engineering, bio-fermentation, bioreactors, biosensors or enzymology. Demonstrate the ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in French. Having completed a postdoctoral fellowship or having proven experience in academic and / or industrial research is an asset. Able to integrate training programs related to the food engineering under the department of soil science and agrifood engineering. Willingness to collaborate with the University's pedagogical services to prepare quality teaching (several modes of teaching : in class, hybrid, distance learning). Take charge of the course entitled Propriétés des aliments (Aliment properties) and set up a new undergraduate course in the field of bioreactors and bio-fermentation and contribute to other courses in food engineering. The integration of notions of modelling and artificial intelligence applied to the field in this new course would be an asset.
