Role Description

The Senior Automation Engineer must bring extensive hands‑on experience across modern automation frameworks, SAP platforms, CI/CD quality engineering, and containerized environments. The role requires the ability to define, author, and drive automation strategies while enabling strong quality controls across the SDLC.

Essential Skills

Extensive applied knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks such as WebDriverIO, TypeScript, JavaScript
Strong advocate of quality controls across unit, integration, and acceptance testing using tools like JUnit and WebDriverIO
Applied knowledge of SAP offerings including S/4 and SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)
Understanding of programming languages and frameworks:

Java
JavaScript
TypeScript
HTML
CSS
Spring Boot
ReactJS
NextJS
TailwindCSS

Ability to define, author, and drive test automation strategies using best‑in‑class platforms
Proven experience with CI/CD processes and embedding quality controls into each SDLC stage (Shift‑Left mindset)
Strong understanding of ITSM (ITIL v4) processes for change, knowledge, incident, and problem management
Experience with containerization technologies:

Docker
ContainerD
Kubernetes (K8s, K3s)
Container registries & artifact tools (Artifactory, GCR, ACR, ECR)

Understanding of REST, GraphQL, and event‑driven architecture (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
Ability to understand customer needs and align testing strategies accordingly
