We are currently seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA). This position is 100% in office in Halifax, NS.

The client team is looking to fill an interesting and challenging position on its development team. As a Software Engineer Developer, you will be a team member in an agile squad doing feature development within the team. This includes: Providing mentoring to the team of developers and tech leads with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology. Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies participating in the team's effort to improve the efficient and quality of the entire development process

The expertise you have:

• 8 years of development experience in Java, Spring MVC, Spring boot, web services (REST) and configuring web containers
• Working knowledge of API management software such as envoy-based API gateway
• IDEs spring tool suite, eclipse on unix and windows environments
• Application build, deployment using CI/CD tools – Jenkins, maven, udeploy etc
• Docker, cloud computing, cloud services like AWS, azure, API gateway etc
• Understanding of core Java, SOAP Web Service, SAML, REST APIs, Spring, Spring MVC and Spring Boot ,Spring modules including IOC, MVC (REST)
• Understanding of REST concepts and REST APIs using Spring boot with TomCAT and Docker
• Good relational DB knowledge involving sql and plsql
• FTP Framework using 3rd party Libraries like Apache
• CI/CD – Maven, JENKINS
• UNIX
