  • The IT Support Engineer II is a key member of our IT team, responsible for supporting and maintaining Safe Software’s internal technology environment. You’ll resolve technical issues that go beyond first-level support, ensure systems are running smoothly, and take part in the rollout of new tools and improvements.

    In this role, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across departments to understand their technology needs and help deliver solutions that support their success. You’ll also work closely with your fellow IT team members to develop best practices, share knowledge, and stay on top of new trends and technologies. If you thrive in a hands-on technical environment and enjoy helping others, this role is for you.

    Safe Software’s IT team supports the systems and services that keep our organization connected and secure. From managing infrastructure and solving tricky technical issues to helping teams use technology more effectively, we play a vital role in enabling smooth operations across the company. We work collaboratively, share knowledge freely, and are always looking for ways to improve how we do things.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Troubleshooting and resolving advanced hardware, software, and network issues.

    Configuring, maintaining, and updating IT systems and infrastructure.

    Supporting the deployment and management of new technologies and IT projects.

    Providing responsive and effective technical support to employees via multiple channels.

    Documenting and tracking issues, solutions, and system updates.

    Collaborating with other departments to understand and support their IT needs.

    Identifying and implementing improvements to IT services and support processes.

    Participating in internal training and contributing to knowledge-sharing within the IT team.

    Staying current with new tools, practices, and IT trends.

    Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

    Safers come from a variety of backgrounds with diverse skills and knowledge. That being said, those who are most successful in this role have experience with the following :

    Education & Certifications :

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are an asset.
  • Experience :

  • At least 3 years in IT support or a similar technical role.
  • Experience with technologies and systems used at Safe Software is a strong advantage.
  • Skills :

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex IT issues across hardware, software, and networks.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, including system administration and network configuration.
  • Strong communication skills for supporting users with varying technical backgrounds.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and contribute to team solutions.
