Job description

Territory Manager – Lawson Sales (Portage La Prairie)

Location : Portage La Prairie, MB.

Reports To : General Manager / Dealer Principal.

Department : Sales.

Employment Type : Permanent, full‑time position.

Eligibility : Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Are you looking for a long‑term career in a fast‑paced, ever‑growing industry? Do you want to work for a company with a long‑standing commitment to customer satisfaction and reliable service? If so, we are accepting applications for an energetic, confident, and outgoing Territory Manager to join our team.

Company Overview

At Lawson Sales, we pride ourselves on being Manitoba’s trusted equipment dealership — offering sales, service, parts, and rental solutions for agricultural, construction, and landscaping equipment. With decades of expertise and a focus on delivering value to our customers, we are growing and looking for a dedicated Territory Manager.

About the Role

As a Territory Manager, you will represent our brand in the field, working closely with farmers, contractors, and other customers to build strong relationships and provide equipment solutions that make a real impact on their operations. You will work collaboratively with the parts, service, and administration teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience, while driving new business and strengthening existing accounts.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel within your designated territory to meet with customers, understand their needs, and provide equipment and service solutions.
  • Build trust and long‑term relationships within the agricultural and construction communities.
  • Prospect new customers through cold‑calling, networking, farm visits, trade shows, and other direct methods.
  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities to increase market share and penetration.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by staying knowledgeable about our products, services, and competitors’ offerings.
  • Maintain regular communication with all customers to strengthen and expand relationships.
  • Complete weekly sales reports and manage accounts, opportunities, and forecasts using company sales tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to overcome challenges and assist in closing business.
  • Stay informed about industry and competitor activities and introduce new products and services as they become available.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of machinery sales experience (agriculture or construction equipment preferred).
  • Strong understanding of farming practices, agronomic trends, and / or construction equipment needs.
  • Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close accounts both in person and over the phone.
  • Strategic thinker with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Outgoing personality and excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to explain technical solutions in a customer‑focused way.
  • Self‑starter with a track record of working independently and taking ownership of accounts.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract; willingness to travel within the territory and occasionally internationally for training.
  • High school diploma required; post‑secondary education or trade certification preferred.
  • What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus commission.
  • Comprehensive benefits plan and RRSP program.
  • Company vehicle and fuel card.
  • Ongoing product training, mentoring, and coaching for success.
  • A friendly, team‑oriented work environment.
  • Hours Of Work

  • Monday–Friday, with additional hours required during peak seasons.
  • If you are driven, customer‑focused, and passionate about the agriculture and construction industry, we’d love to hear from you.

    About Reesink Canada Holdings

Reesink Canada Holdings is a subsidiary of Royal Reesink, a Dutch company that started in 1786 as a blacksmith and has evolved into one of the largest equipment suppliers internationally. Canada is one of the main markets for Royal Reesink. We believe that both the agricultural and construction equipment market have big potential in Canada. That is why Reesink Canada Holdings was founded as a dedicated entity for all Canadian activities. This provides an excellent match with Royal Reesink’s growth strategy, which is based in part on growth with existing brands in new markets. Royal Reesink has been representing CLAAS for over 65 years in the Netherlands and also represents CLAAS, HORSCH and MACDON in Kazakhstan. There are significant similarities between Western Canadian agriculture and agriculture in Kazakhstan, and therefore synergies can be realised.
