Interior designer Jobs in Ingersoll, ON

Job Description:

• Permanent full time positions for High Level Controls Design
• Design PLCs/HMI and Robotic based control systems using EPlan (training provided if needed)
• Design Power Distribution Systems compliant with CSA/Local Codes
• Design any industrial control systems (for automated machinery)
• Interact with Mechanical Design team and Machine Build team as it relates to overall machine design
• Interact with Programming Team as it relates to controls design
• Quickly and efficiently learn about various complex control systems, third party equipment/devices and proprietary controllers
• Performing design reviews with team and Client
• Check the work of and mentor more junior to intermediate level Controls Designers
• Moderate Level Purchasing activities – sending RFQ’s to vendors and submitting purchase requisitions
• Compile system documentation for final client documentation package

Required Experience:

• At least 8 years total of experience working in Industrial Controls including:
• At least 5 years of experience in automation machinery controls
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Controls Hardware design
• Completed College or university level training in relevant field

Required Specific Expertise & Attributes:

• It is required to have the following specific expertise:
• Expert Level ability to create electrical and pneumatic schematics
• Senior level understanding of electrical machine control
• Intermediate level understanding of pneumatic machine control and theory
• Senior level understanding of industry CSA electrical and CSA/OSHA Machine Safety standards
• Intermediate level understanding of mechanical motion hardware and theory
• Intermediate to Expert level ability with Microsoft Office Suite

Relevant Expertise

• It is an asset to have any of the following experience and qualifications:
• Ability to design electrical and pneumatic schematics in EPlan
• 309A/442A electrical license
• Familiarity with modern PLC/HMI type and application
• Familiarity with modern robotic type and application experience
• Familiar with assembly automation processes and tooling
• Familiar with welding processes and weld fixtures
• Familiar with laser automation processes
