Sr. Controls Designer

Job Description :

• Permanent full time positions for High Level Controls Design
• Design PLCs / HMI and Robotic based control systems using EPlan (training provided if needed)
• Design Power Distribution Systems compliant with CSA / Local Codes
• Design any industrial control systems (for automated machinery)
• Interact with Mechanical Design team and Machine Build team as it relates to overall machine design
• Interact with Programming Team as it relates to controls design
• Quickly and efficiently learn about various complex control systems, third party equipment / devices and proprietary controllers
• Performing design reviews with team and Client
• Check the work of and mentor more junior to intermediate level Controls Designers
• Moderate Level Purchasing activities – sending RFQ’s to vendors and submitting purchase requisitions
• Compile system documentation for final client documentation package
