Role Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in the division by leading projects, understanding requirements, analyzing, and transforming raw data into meaningful insights, or preforming systems optimization, thereby helping the division make informed decisions and increasing efficiencies throughout a large and diverse cross functional area.
Focusing on report design and visualization coupled with extensive experience in statistics and data analysis, the Business Intelligence Analyst will show their expertise in the business of supply chain and finance and helps push large initiatives. They will also support the development of business intelligence systems to store reporting data through their familiarity with business analysis and data warehousing concepts and tools.
Responsibilities
- Partner with various departments to gather data, negotiate vendor cost recovery agreements, and present findings through clear, actionable reports and presentations tailored for non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and effectively delegate tasks to promote efficient project execution and learning opportunities.
- Analyze raw data from various sources, identifying trends, inconsistencies, and improvement areas to develop actionable insights and support business decisions.
- Develop forecasting models and provide recommendations to enhance supply chain resiliency, optimize contract performance, and support strategic sourcing decisions for spend analysis.
- Lead process automation initiatives using tools such as Robotic Process Automation, Excel Macros, SharePoint Workflows and Power Apps to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and support solution implementation.
- Gather requirements and lead the setup of data warehouses, extracting, transforming, and loading data to support reporting, analytics, and new business processes while supporting change management activities.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design dashboards and create data visualizations using business intelligence (BI) tools, effectively communicating key insights and solution recommendations to non-technical stakeholders and leaders.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures while maintaining up-to-date dashboards.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by identifying current and future requirements for continual improvement.
- Recommend and present purchase category changes to management after collaborating with stakeholders and conducting thorough analyses.
