To accelerate innovation, we are recruiting talented individuals who will become vital and interconnected leaders of our development process. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Manager has responsibility for all aspects of the manufacturing operation at Allseating. This includes planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all production related activities. They are supported in their efforts by their production management team. The Production Manager needs to champion a clean and safe plant by actively participating in the Joint Health and Safety Committee. They need to be active on the production floor, to anticipate and address potential areas of concerns, and deploy resources as required to meet key production deliverables. They will be expected to take Production to the next level in terms of developing their team while also introducing new methods, technology, and efficiency. The objectives of the Production Manager are as follows : Ensure production goals are met, including on-time delivery, out-of-box quality, safety, and overall efficiency. Work closely and collaboratively with the supporting teams of Warehousing, Shipping, Quality, Scheduling, Purchasing and Customer Service to ensure work orders are completed on time, and per schedule. Develop and implement plans to use materials, labour and equipment efficiently to meet production and shipping targets. Analyze the production schedule to determine manpower requirements and ensure staffing levels are maintained. Oversee the ongoing hiring, disciplining, and training of production employees and ensure employees are qualified to perform the job. Schedule overtime, staff vacation and assess general staffing needs. Develop and mentor the production management team and work to create a resilient cross functional organizational structure. Develop / Improve / Implement production methods and procedures designed to reduce all forms of waste and improve overall product quality and output.
