Job descriptionEnsures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices. Complies with HSE procedures, report any incident or observation, perform inspections, and participate in the investigation process. Responsible for performance management of direct reports by consistently applying the CBA and annual performance reviews. Troubleshoots and minimizes the impact of failures on production processes by ensuring the correct diagnosis of the problem / failure and the execution of the necessary interventions on equipment to maintain its availability and reliability. Maintain a visible presence in the mill to foster employee engagement, communication and assess work process effectiveness within the team. On production floor technical hands-on support expected to be 70% or more. Implements the preventive / corrective actions. Keep updated the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment. Acts as a "shift leader" being responsible for leading employees during their assigned time period / shift, coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities and ensuring work safety conditions. Verifies technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock. Manages and updates the maintenance information system and technical documentation, keeping record of the information related to their area. Supports Base Maintenance Supervisors in the execution of preventive tasks during the normal course of production and / or scheduled interventions. Supports Base Maintenance Supervisors in the execution of failure analyses. Analyzes, interprets and recommends courses of action for more complex topics. Interacts with internal and / or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy. Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility. Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops their staff and manages HR related activities in line with HR norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to their area. 3+ years experience in industrial maintenance, trades work or hands-on engineering technician is an asset. 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Post-secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a preferred), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Applicant must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics. Applicant must be familiar with manufacturing environment safety procedures. Previous experience with PLC, VFD, sensors and High Frequency heating equipment considered an asset. Previous experience with SAP considered an asset. Industrial online pipe cutting machine Threading machine for oil and gas pipes Hydrotester equipment for oil and gas pipes Online coupling buck on machine for oil and gas pipes Walking beam handling equipment Roll conveyor lines Gearboxes Hydraulic cylinders Grease Lubrication systems Oil hydraulic systems, pumps and valves (directional and proportional) Oil hydraulic systems, pumps and valves (directional and proportional) Centralized lubrication systems Grease Lubrication systems Roll conveyor lines Industrial pipe handling (rotary arms, chains, levers and kicks) Gearboxes above 1700 kW Hydraulic cylinders and rotary actuators Furnace handling (beams, levers, rolls refractory steel) Walking beam systems 12hr rotational shift, with flexibility based on business needs.
