Job Title: HVAC Mechanical AssemblerJob Description

An HVAC Manufacturing Production Assembler will work as part of a team on an assembly line and is responsible for following assembly and fabrication drawings. This includes installing, fastening, wiring, and testing parts such as fans, coils, motors, and sheet metal components. The role requires manual dexterity, mechanical skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble HVAC units, air handlers, heat exchangers, ductwork, and refrigeration components.
• Install and connect motors, compressors, fans, coils, valves, and electronic controls.
• Ensure proper alignment, torque, and sealing of mechanical components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment to fasten and secure parts.
• Perform basic wiring, crimping, and terminal connections.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.
• Ensure refrigerant and water piping systems are leak-free.
• Verify that assembled products comply with assembly and/or fabrication drawings.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
• 2+ years in relevant industry (Custom Fabrication/Machine Building/HVAC).
• Basic tool proficiency: wrench set, hammer, pry bar, screwdriver set, the person key set, rubber mallet.
• Relevant diploma (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) or HVAC certification (including brazing/soldering).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and steady hands for assembly/precision brazing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Brazing Certification (TSSA or equivalent).
• HVAC Certification (recognized college or technical school).
• WHMIS and OSHA Occupational Health and Safety Training.

Work Environment

Join a full-time team consisting of 2 welders, 2 refrigeration experts, an electrician, and a maintenance worker. For this project, collaborate with over 20 colleagues, including mechanical and electrical assemblers. The facility shares a building with another company, with a clear division between the two teams.

This is a Contract position based out of Brampton, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
