We are currently looking for an HR Advisor to fill a fourteen (14) month contract for our Thornhill, ON location. This is an in-office role with the potential to become hybrid with approval by the HR Manager. The HR Advisor is a strategic partner and advisor to the business, aligning HR practices with the business objectives. Effective communication, the ability, collaborate among various levels of the organization, problem-solving, and strong organizational skills are critical in this role. Key Responsibilities : Provide coaching and guidance to managers on handling employee related matters. Respond to general questions on policies and procedures to ensure correct interpretation and understanding. Act as the point of contact for employee concerns, investigating the resolving issues in alignment with company policies and legal requirements. Ensure consistent application of HR policies, addressing performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Assist with recruitment, offer creation and extension, and onboarding requirements. Benefits Administration. Support managers with terminations and exit process. Assist in various Human Resources initiatives, including employee training, annual policy review and acknowledgement, and ad-hoc projects. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications : Minimum 5+ years progressive human resources experience. Human Resources related schooling considered an asset but is not required. Demonstrated strong knowledge of relevant legislation (i.e. Employment Standards, Health and Safety regulations, Human Rights Act, etc.). Demonstrated experience with employee relations – prove ability to work independently on employee related concerns such as performance management, disciplinary action, and conflict resolution. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good time management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines. Ability to multi-task, assess situations and prioritize tasks accordingly. Good listening skills along with ability to accept and follow direction. Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group. Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
