JOB DESCRIPTION
About the role
Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate HR, Learning and Development, the Director will provide strategic leadership for all initiatives in this sector. The incumbent’s main responsibilities will be as follows :
Design and implement training and development strategies for leaders in the organization;
Ensure that training and development initiatives meet business needs and the organization’s strategies and plans;
Provide liaison with all training departments to ensure that departmental and regional needs are met and are integrated with the organization’s cycles and strategies;
Manage all training and learning activities and resources with the goal of optimizing and improving Corporate training services;
Develop a culture and an environment that promotes the sharing of best practices;
Foster the development of new learning methods and the maximum effectiveness of the learning and development platform;
Manage the Learning and Development team such that external & internal best practices are shared;
Manage the budget for human and material resources and for delivering training activities;
Measure skills gaps and identify solutions while working collaboratively with other members of the organization.
Establish metrics for key performance and success indicators in order to evaluate impact and effectiveness;
Ensure that training courses and other activities provide participants with a positive, professional and transferable learning experience.

Education / Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
Approximately 10 years’ experience in training and development or related field.

Additional requirements
Bilingualism : professional mastery of French and English
Excellent knowledge of L&D systems
Bilingualism (French / English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
